Dappled Forest

Coarse Dirt Grass Block Leaf Litter Red Shrub Shelf Mushroom

The dappled forest is a woodland biome consisting of spruce and poplar trees with red, orange, and yellow leaves, on an orange-brown grass and coarse dirt soil covered by leaf litter, red shrubs, and brown mushrooms.

Dappled forests generate in cold regions of very little humidity and high weirdness values. This makes them border plains, sunflower plains, and cherry grove biomes, but never any other woodland biomes. They can generate in any type of terrain, on flatland near windswept gravelly hills, near cold oceans, or in mountains near frozen peaks. Their size can range from a microbiome with only a few trees, to a large forest stretching over hundreds of blocks.
