Leather Cap

A leather cap[a] is a variant of helmet that is crafted from leather. It is the eighth-highest tier of helmet, having the lowest armor points and durability. Like all leather armor, it can be dyed and protects the wearer from freezing.

Zombies, husks, skeletons, strays, and bogged have a small chance to spawn wearing armor, which may include a leather cap. There is a 8.5% chance (9.5% with Looting I, 10.5% with Looting II and 11.5% with Looting III) for the mob to drop the cap they're wearing upon death. The dropped cap is usually badly damaged, and may be enchanted with enchantment levels 5-19.

When worn, a leather cap provides 1 () armor point.
