Lush Caves

The lush caves is a temperate cave biome with unique fauna and flora found underground below humid biomes, indicated above ground by azalea trees. Exclusive mobs, such as axolotls, glow squid, and tropical fish can spawn here.

Lush caves generate underground at any altitude and temperature, underneath biomes with high humidity values (≥ 0.7). This makes them most commonly found beneath dark forests, jungles, old growth taigas, wooded badlands, and taigas within frozen biomes.

Less commonly, they generate under windswept forests, mangrove swamps, birch forests, other taigas, and snowy taigas. When these biomes generate far inland, however, dripstone caves may generate instead.
