A magma cube is a hostile mob found in the Nether. A magma cube behaves similarly to a slime in that it splits into smaller magma cubes on death, all the way down to tiny size, but is fireproof, jumps higher and less often, and deals more damage. Magma cubes are a source of magma cream and the only source of froglights if eaten by a frog while small.
Magma cubes spawn in areas of the Nether at all light levels. The space they spawn in must be clear of solid obstructions and liquids. Because they are inherently fireproof, magma cubes can spawn on magma blocks.
