Old Growth Pine Taiga

The old growth pine taiga or mega taiga is a forested biome filled with large 2×2 spruce trees, with the tall trees being mostly arrow-shaped with few leaves at the top. The ground is made of podzol and coarse dirt and covered by mossy cobblestone rocks.

Old growth pine taigas generate at moderately low temperature, very high humidity and positive weirdness. They commonly border regular taigas and dark forests. They are often separated by rivers from old growth spruce taigas, a variant with mega spruce trees that have leaves all around the trunk.

Old growth pine taigas can generate in any type of terrain, near swamps and windswept forests, or near mountains with grove slopes and nearby pale gardens. Due to their very high humidity values, old growth pine taigas are almost guaranteed to have lush caves generate beneath them.
