Programmer Art

Programmer Art (in Java Edition) and the Minecraft Classic Texture Pack (in Bedrock and PlayStation 4 editions) are resource packs that primarily use classic Minecraft textures from before the Texture Update. The name in Java Edition refers to the fact that these textures were created by the programmers of the game, rather than a dedicated art team; the term programmer art is common for referring to such assets in video games.

The equivalent resource packs are built into Java Edition and PlayStation 4 Edition, and it was available as a free download on the Marketplace in Bedrock Edition before getting delisted on June 5, 2026.

The classic Minecraft look you know and love! We recently updated the game with new and stylish textures, but if you prefer more of a retro flavor to your Minecraft, this is the pack for you! Why not try both packs and compare them yourself?
