The Secrets of Minecraft

The Secrets of Minecraft is a series of videos hosted by the characters M.A.R.I.L.L.A. and Narrator on the official Minecraft YouTube channel. The series showcases removed features, concept art, development processes, and other information about the game that either isn't commonly known or wasn't publicly available previously. The series aired 11 episodes and a trailer, lasting from June 9, 2021, through July 22, 2022.

Narrator and M.A.R.I.L.L.A. introduce themselves as the hosts of the show, and exchange snarky insults trying to one up eachother. Narrator then talks about why they renamed roses to poppies. He explains that they wanted to add rose bushes, and that its more realistic for roses to grow as bushes opposed to single flowers. He then claims to have personally been in charge of telling roses they were being replaced by poppies, and did so by sending them a farewell card.

M.A.R.I.L.L.A. then talks about how "crystalized honey was accidentally added to a Java snapshot and quickly taken out of the game," pointing out that it was made redundant by honeycomb, and that they "don't want unnecessary items in Minecraft. Just unnecessary co-hosts, apparently," to which Narrator rebuts with how necessary he was since he claimed to be in charge of manually removing the item from every Minecraft world.
