Tutorial:Curing a zombie villager

This article covers curing zombie villagers into villagers.

In most biomes, zombie villagers have a 5% chance to spawn in place of a regular zombie. Zombie villagers have an elevated spawn rate in old growth pine taigas with a 20% chance to spawn in place of regular zombies.

Depending on the difficulty level, a villager killed by a zombie has a chance of converting into a zombie villager (0% on Easy, 50% on Normal, and 100% on Hard).
