Plastic Texture Pack

The Plastic Texture Pack[1] is a texture pack that introduces simplistic, colorful textures with angular designs to the game. It was the first texture pack released for Legacy Console Edition and, along with the City Texture Pack, was one of the first two texture packs released for Bedrock and New Nintendo 3DS editions.

When this texture pack is applied, the Steve skin from the Default Skin Pack is replaced with a different version of the skin that matches the texture pack's plastic aesthetics.

While it is technically possible to replace any of the 18 skins from the Default Skin Pack using a texture or mash-up pack, this functionality was only ever used by this texture pack to change the Steve skin.

Trivia

  • In Pocket Edition v0.15.0 alpha build 1, the texture of the Nether Reactor Core was switched from this texture pack to the default one and vice-versa. This bug has not been fixed since and will not be fixed due to the Nether reactor core being an unsupported block.
  • Some textures in this pack are seemingly inspired by Xbox 360 Edition's box art.
    • The key art of this texture pack is a recreation of said cover artwork.
