Purple Heart Cape

The Purple Heart Cape is a cape that was given out as part of the 15 Days of Minecraft celebrations alongside the Follower's Cape and the 15th Anniversary Cape.

The cape includes a purple heart with streaks on a white background. The bottom corners are filled with purple right-angled triangles, paired with a purple hood at the top. It uses similar colors of the Twitch logo.

Players could receive this cape by redeeming a code, which was obtainable by watching any Minecraft livestream on Twitch for 15 minutes. Codes could be obtained between May 15 and May 31, 2024.[1]

Distribution

Players could receive this cape by redeeming a code, which was obtainable by watching any Minecraft livestream on Twitch for 15 minutes. Codes could be obtained between May 15 and May 31, 2024.[1]

This task could not be completed normally in regions where either Twitch or its rewards program were unavailable. Players in these regions could obtain the cape by using a proxy/VPN, traveling to regions where they were available, or receiving a code from another player.

History

May 15, 2024The cape is first announced, and the offer period begins.[1]
It is stated to only be available in Bedrock Edition at first, with distribution to in Java Edition occurring before July 8.
May 31, 2024New codes cannot be obtained after this point.
July 1, 2024The cape is rolled out to all Java Edition eligible players.

Trivia

  • Despite being announced earlier, this cape and the Follower's Cape were the focus of the fourth day of the 15 Days of Minecraft celebrations.[2]
  • The original article[1] and the redemption page[3] stated that codes for this cape and the Follower's Cape would be disabled on July 30, 2024. However, as of June 2026, codes for these capes are known to still work.
