Minecraft – What Will You Build Next? is a live action trailer made to promote Minecraft on Nintendo Switch, telling the story of a family who bond over the game.

As a couple are moving in to their new house, they decide to play Minecraft. Working together, they construct a house in the game out of wood, and have fun. As they make progress, they jest with each other, one filling a building with chickens as a prank, and later throws the other a diamond. At another time, the man goes into the house, and ends up caught in the explosion of a creeper, which smash cuts to a creeper coffee mug.

Some time has passed, with the woman now visibly pregnant. Ecstatic, the two build a baby crib together, and prepare Minecraft plushies for their child. More time passes, now represented by the daylight cycle. The two collect pumpkins together, and then place diamond boots into a chest, as the father zones out. The video cuts to him playing the game at night, in a moody deepslate cave, before handing it over to his wife, who goes into the Nether.
