Speed
Speed is a status effect that causes entities to move faster on foot.
Speed increases an entity's speed while walking or sprinting by +20% multiplied by the effect level. For slimes and magma cubes, the effect causes them to jump farther.
Speed expands an affected player's field of view (FOV).

Speed expands an affected player's field of view (FOV).
Negative levels of Speed, which can only be obtained through commands, cause entities to move more slowly, similar to Slowness.

Immune mobs
- Withers and ender dragons are immune to the Speed effect.
- Flying mobs and shulkers are unaffected by the Speed effect.[1]
Notes
- Alternative methods of traveling more quickly include: sprinting; walking on ice, packed ice or blue ice; riding a horse, pig, or minecart; riding a boat on ice, packed ice, or blue ice; throwing ender pearls; walking on soul soil or soul sand while wearing Soul Speed boots; or being near a dolphin to gain Dolphin's Grace.
