Wooded Hills
The wooded hills or forest hills biome is a hills variant of the forest that no longer generates since Caves & Cliffs: Part II, and was removed in Java Edition.
The wooded hills biome generated as hills inside forests, and sometimes in plains biomes. The biome was similar to forests, with much more hills, cliffs, and floating islands, making it less suitable for survival. Wolves spawned here as well as some bees from bee nests.
In Bedrock Edition, birch forest hills in older worlds still received updates. When generated through single biome or behavior packs, they can also generate new blocks.

Description
Old
The wooded hills biome generated as hills inside forests, and sometimes in plains biomes. The biome was similar to forests, with much more hills, cliffs, and floating islands, making it less suitable for survival. Wolves spawned here as well as some bees from bee nests.
Current
In Bedrock Edition, birch forest hills in older worlds still received updates. When generated through single biome or behavior packs, they can also generate new blocks.
They appear similar to regular forests. Leaf litter covers the ground underneath trees and bushes generate in small patches. Wolves spawned in wooded hills use the woods variant. No forest music tracks play here.
